Tablet weaving (sometimes called "card weaving") is an easy-to-learn way of making decorative bands and trim. Most tablet weaving these days is done using a backstrap loom or an Inkle loom. Both of these methods have shortcomings. The backstrap loom can be quite tiring to use and the Inkle loom does not give the weaver much room to work in and limits the maximum length of the warp.

After studying the designs of tablet weaving looms currently in use in China, Morocco and Czechoslovakia, I have designed a loom that is easy and inexpensive to make, easy to use and easy to transport. The work can be taken off the loom and put back on with very little effort and without ruining the project. This allows you to have more than one project "on the go" at the same time.

I've got to be honest with you... the video quality is little better than "home video", but I have heard many good things from people who have bought this tape. If you can overlook an amateur quality production to find a very useful loom design and an elementry introduction to tablet weaving, you will surely want this tape.

By the way... the "Henry" loom is named after my great-great-great-grandfather, Henry Swan, who came to the new world in the early 19th century.
